The Ambassador of Armenia presents his credentials to the President of Italy

On October 23, Ambassador of Armenia in Italy Rouben Karapetian presented his credentials to the President of Italy Giorgio Napolitano.
During of the meeting that followed the ceremony, the President of Italy mentioned that Armenia is an important partner for Italy and relations between Armenian and Italian nations has century-old history. On his turn Ambassador Karapetian emphasized the willingness of the Armenian side to raise relations with Italy on a new level. On behalf of the President of Armenia Ambassador Karapetian invited the President of Italy to visit Armenia.
On Giorgio Napolitano's request Ambassador Karapetian presented the recent developments in the process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations and Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) peace process.

Wishing success to Ambassador Karapetian, Italian President expressed hope that new Armenian Ambassador will make his contribution in the development and deepening of Armenian-Italian relations.
