Ambassador of India presents the copies of his credentials to Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian
19 October, 2009On October 19, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Achal Kumar Malhotra, the newly appointed Ambassador of India to Armenia on the occasion of presenting of copies of his credentials.
Congratulating the Ambassador on the appointment, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that Armenia is for further development of Armenian-Indian friendly partnership and expressed hope that Ambassador Malhotra will have his important contribution in the enlargement and deepening of cooperation between the two countries.
The two discussed issues concerning the intensification of bilateral political dialogue, the promotion of economic relations, the expansion of legal field and the deepening of cooperation within the international structures.
On the guest’s request, Minister Nalbandian presented the recent developments in the negotiation process of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) issue.
Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Malhotra exchanged views on the process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations. Within that context Achal Kumar Malhotra expressed India’s support for the steps being undertaken towards the establishment of relations between Armenia and Turkey.
