On October 8, the regular session of the Council of the Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States took place in Chişinău, the capital of the Republic of Moldova. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian headed the delegation of the Republic of Armenia.

The Ministerial Council started its works in close format, afterwards continued with the participation of the delegations.

The agenda of the session included dozens of issues concerning the CIS activity, as well the promotion of cooperation in humanitarian field, the intensification of partnership in areas of security and migration policy. Ministers approved and presented to the affirmation of the CIS Heads of states the project of the Address to be adopted on 65th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War.

The participants of the session affirmed the agenda of Council of CIS Heads of states, which will take place on October 9.
