On September 1, the annual meeting of the Heads of the Central Apparatus Department of the Armenian Foreign Ministry and Heads of Diplomatic Missions of the Republic of Armenia abroad started at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

The meeting was opened by President Serzh Sargsyan’s  keynote speech on Armenian foreign policy.

On the same day the leadership of the Armenian Foreign Ministry and the Heads of Diplomatic Missions delivered lectures “Armenia and the world” at the Universities of Yerevan.

Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian visited Yerevan State University and had a meeting with the lecturers and first year students of the faculty of international relations. Armenian Foreign Minister presented the main directions of the Armenian Foreign Policy and answered to the questions of students.

Later in the day, the annual meeting resumed its work, Deputy Foreign Ministers and a number of Ambassadors took the floor.
Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan also participated in the meeting, who presented a program on bilateral and multilateral cultural cooperation and the perspectives of cooperation with the Foreign Ministry in this area.

On September 2, the participants of the meeting will meet with Hovik Abrahamyan, Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Secretary of the National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan and the Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobian.
