Ambassador of Armenia to Iran Grigor Araqelyan presents the copies of his credentials to the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Manouchehr Mottaki

On August 1, the newly appointed Ambassador of Armenia to Iran, Grigor Araqelyan presented the copies of his credentials to Manouchehr Mottaki, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In the course of the talks that followed the ceremony, Minister Mottaki congratulated Ambassador Araqelyan on his appointment and expressed hope that the newly appointed Ambassador, who made personal contribution to the development of Armenian-Iranian relations since Armenian independence, will promote the deepening of bilateral relations during his term in office. Minister Mottaki highly appreciated Armenian-Iranian relationship and attached importance to the expansion of cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

At the meeting, Minister Mottaki also touched upon the activities of Armenian- Iranian intergovernmental commission, as well as the implementation of its decisions made.

Ambassador Araqelyan delivered Armenian Foreign Minister Nalbandian’s  regards to Minister Mottaki and thanked for the congratulations. He assured to spare no efforts to implement the designed programs and develop mutually beneficial partnership.
