Foreign Minister of Armenia receives the Governor of Kaliningrad region Georgy Boos

On June 19, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Georgy Boos, the Governor of Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation.

In his welcoming remarks Edward Nalbandian attached importance to the expansion of cooperation between Russian regions and Armenia defining them as one of the bases of friendly relations of the two countries. Armenia Foreign Minister thanked the Kaliningrad Governor for his efforts, thanks to which about 15000 Armenians have been given an opportunity to be integrated into the society, at the same time keeping and strengthening their national identity and culture.

On his turn Georgy Boos highly appreciated the Armenian-Russian century-old friendly relations and mentioned that he has been working in the direction of more strengthening and developing of these relations for many years. The Governor also attached importance to the active integration of Armenians into the life of the region which he governs and their contribution in the process of development of the region.

In the course of the talks the two touched upon the steps to be taken towards the development of economic cooperation between Armenia and Kaliningrad region
