Foreign Minister of Armenia had a phone conversation with US State Secretary Hillary Clinton

On April 27, by the initiative of the American side, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian had a phone conversation with US State Secretary Hillary Clinton.

During the phone conversation, Minister Nalbandian and Secretary Clinton discussed Armenian-American relations and their prospects.

In the course of the talks the two touched upon the process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations and the negotiations on the settlement of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) issue. State Secretary Hilary Clinton welcomed Joint Statement of Foreign Ministries of Armenia, Turkey and Switzerland and assessed it as a historic step on the path of normalisation between the two countries. Hilary Clinton expressed her support for the negotiation process on Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) issue which continues within the frameworks of Minsk Group and expressed hope that a progress will be fixed in that process.
