Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Gegham Gharibjanian meets with his Chinese counterpart Li Hui

On December 16, Co-Chair of Armenian-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Gegham Gharibjanian who was in China within the framework of the visit of official delegation headed by Hovik Abrahamyan, Speaker of National Assembly, met with Li Hui, Vice Minister of Foreign Minister of People’s Republic of China.
During the meeting, the two attached importance to the dynamic development of Armenian-Chinese relations and stressed that the official visit of the Speaker of Armenian National Assembly is the evidence of that. It was mentioned that China has always considered and continues to consider Armenia friendly and reliable partner. They discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, particularly Armenian-Chinese economic cooperation and technical support to Armenia by China, participation of China in the c project of Armenia-Iran railroad construction, the activities of Armenian-Chinese intergovernmental Commission.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Gegham Gharibjanian mentioned that after his visit to China within the framework of Olympic Games held in Beijing in 2008, Armenian President Sergh Sargsyan  has emphasized  the development of relationship with China and ranked it among the priorities of Armenian foreign policy. In this regard the two stressed the activation of ties and consultations between Foreign Ministries of the two countries. Deputy Minnisters Gharibjanian and Hui had agreed to organize a visit of Li Hui to Armenia in the first part of 2009, which will be followed by the official visit of Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian to China.
