Newly appointed Ambassador of Australia to Armenia Margaret Twomey presented the copies of her credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Arman Kirakossian
18 November, 2008On November 18, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Arman Kirakossian received Margaret Twomey, the newly appointed Ambassador of Australia to Armenia (residence in Moscow) on the occasion of presenting copies of her credentials.
In his welcoming remarks Arman Kirakossian congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment as the Australian Ambassador to Armenia and wished her success in her diplomatic mission.
In her turn Ambassador Twomey mentioned that Australia is always interested in development of economic, cultural and political cooperation with Armenia on bilateral level, as well as within the framework of international organizations. She highly appreciated the role of the Australian Armenian community in country’s economic and cultural life.
In the course of the meeting the two also touched upon regional and international issues, as well as Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) peace process.
