Newly appointed Ambassador of Latvia to Armenia Nils Jansons presented the copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Arman Kirakossian
15 November, 2008On November 13, Nils Jansons, newly appointed Ambassador of Latvia to Armenia (residence in Vienna), presented the copies of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Arman Kirakossian.
In his welcoming remarks Arman Kirakossian mentioned that Armenia and Latvia have traditionally warm relations.
The two also underlined the necessity to deepen and develop cooperation particularly in economic and commercial fields, as well as within the framework of European Neighbourhood Policy Action plan.
On the guest’s request Deputy Foreign Minister Kirakossian presented the Armenian position on recent regional developments, as well as relations of Armenia with its neighbours.
They also discussed Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) peace process.
