Minister Nalbandian receives Premysl Sobotka, President of Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic

On September 12 Minister Nalbandian received Premysl Sobotka, President of Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, who is in Armenian with an official visit. The delegation, headed by the President of Senate included Deputy Minister of Finances and Deputy Minister of trade and economic development of the Czech Republic.

In his welcoming remarks, Minister Nalbandian highly appreciated traditionally friendly Armenian-Czech relations. He underlined the role of parliamentary diplomacy in the development of bilateral relations and expressed hope, that the visit of the Czech Parliament's delegation will contribute to further deepening of relations between the two countries. Edward Nalbandian expressed satisfaction with recent activization of political dialogue and business ties.

 

Presenting goals of his visit, Premysl Sobotka mentioned, that the Czech Republic is deeply interested in development of relations with Armenia in various areas and his visit, as well as the recent visit of the Czech Foreign Minister are the illustration of that interest.

On the guest’s request, Minister Nalbandian presented Armenia’s position of  on recent regional developments, as well as Nagorno Karabakh peace process and perspectives of settlement of Armenian-Turkish relations.
