At the beginning of this week Minister Nalbandian had meetings with the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Armenia
12 June, 2008From 9 till 11 Minister Nalbandian had separate meetings with a number of foreign Ambassadors accredited in Armenia.
On 9 of June the Minister had meeting with the Swedish ambassador Hans Gunnar Aden. The Minister noted that there is a serious potential in deepening of cooperation in the areas of economy, high technologies, culture and education. He also highlighted the importance of activation of the political dialogue.
During Minister Nalbandian's meeting with the Ambassador of Russian Ambassador Nikolay Pavlov they had discussed issues concerning the preparation of the official visit of the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsian to Moscow on the invitation of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
With the French Ambassador Serge Smessow Minister Nalbandian discussed Armenian-French relations in different fields and perspectives of their development. The two expressed satisfaction on the high level cooperation of two countries. They also touched upon the Armenian-EU relations in the framework of the European Neighborhood Policy and in the context of the French Presidency in the EU during the second half of this year.
On the meeting with the Ukrainian Ambassador Olexander Bozhko Armenian Foreign Minister has highly apprised the dynamically progressing relations in the area of economic cooperation. Minister Nalbandian and ambassador Bozhko has also discussed the issues about cooperation of two countries in the frameworks of international organizations, as well as enlargement of cultural partnership.
Minister Edward Nalbandian also received the ambassador of Brazil Renate Stille. Greeting Miss Stille Minister Nalbandian expressed his gratitude for the Armenian-Brazilian productive cooperation in international organizations. He has also highly appreciated the decision of Brazilian Government to open an embassy in Yerevan. He told that this step will enhance the development of bilateral relations. On her turn Ambassador Stille noted that Armenia is the first South Caucasian country that opened its diplomatic mission Brazil and it is a serious basis for the cooperation of two nations and states.
At the meeting with the head of OSCE’s Yerevan office Sergey Kapinos Minister Nalbandian discussed the activities of Yerevan’s OSCE office. Noting that the colse cooperation between MFA and OSCE office has started since the opening of the office, Minister praised Office’s support for reform projects in different areas.
Ambassador Sergey Kapinos represented to Minister Nalbandian realization and perspective programms of the OSCE Office’s in the regions of Armenia.
During the conversation of Edward Nalbandian and the Romanians Ambassador Crina Rodica Prunariu Minister positevely qualified the cooperation between two countries and peoples. Edward Nalbandian express willingness for furher cooperation with Romania in the frameworks of European Neighborhood Policy. Ambassador Prunariu mentioned that Romanian Government attaches importance to the relations with Armenia. The two also discussed the activities of intergvovernmental commission..
At the meeting with Indian Ambassador Reena Pandey, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that Armenia always highly appreciated with the traditional warm relations with India.
Armenian Foreign Minister underlied the importance of the established political dialogue between tweo states, as well as cooperation and coordination of positions in the international organizations. Interlocuters touched upon deepening of cooperation in the fields of economy, high technologies, healthcare, education and culture.
Edward Nalbandian and Italian Ambassador in Armenia Massimo Lavezzo Cassinelli discussed further development of Armenian-Italian political, economic and cultural relations. Minister Nalbandian expressed his gratitude to the Italian government for support of the realization International Organisation’s programms in Armenia. The two also talked about the conference on South Caucuses organized by the Italian Government, which will take place in Rome at he fall of this year.
