Minister Nalbandian Meets with Egypts Assistant Foreign Minister
19 May, 2008On May 16, Minister Nalbandian received Ambassador El-Sayed Ramzi Ezz el-Dein Ramzi, Egyptian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs and International Cooperation.
Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian said that the traditionally warm relations between Armenia and Egypt are at a high level and that Armenia is determined to further deepen its cooperation with the Arab world and Egypt.
The Egyptian Deputy Minister, while conveying Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit’s personal greetings, noted that his country evaluates highly its relations with Armenia. He also briefed on the programs of technical cooperation with the CIS countries elaborated by the Egyptian Fund, as well as on the cooperation with Armenia in this context.
The two also spoke about the formation of the Armenian side of the Armenian-Egyptian inter-governmental commission, cooperation in international organizations, and regional security issues, specifically the situation in the Middle East, and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement process.
