On April 8, 2008, Deputy Minister Gharibjanian received Ambassador Ahmed Abdulla Al Musally, Head of the Department of Asia and Africa of the Foreign Ministry of the United Arab Emirates. The Ambassador is in Yerevan to take part in the presidential inauguration ceremony on April 9, 2008.

During the meeting, the two spoke of the present state of Armenia-UAE relations and their prospects. They also discussed regional developments.

Deputy Minister Gharibjanian and Ambassador Al Musally also touched upon issues related to the opening of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Yerevan.
