On January 31, 2008, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian received a delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), headed by British Parliamentarian John Prescott.

The Minister stressed the importance of the observation mission and said that the forthcoming presidential elections will confirm Armenia’s democratic credentials.

Mr. Prescott presented their impressions in regard to the meetings with high officials, presidential candidates and non-governmental organizations.

Minister Oskanian wished them success in their mission and confirmed the MFA’s readiness to cooperate.
