New Ambassador of Uruguay Presents Copies of his Credentials to Armenia’s Foreign Minister

On November 26, 2007, the new ambassador of Uruguay, Jorge Meyer Long, presented copies of his credentials to Armenia’s Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian.

Welcoming the ambassador, the Minister wished him success in his mission. Minister Oskanian stated that the warm relations between two countries and the legal field that has been created serve as a base from which to implement more active cooperation in different spheres.

The two underscored the necessity to develop economic, commercial, technical cooperation and expressed satisfaction with the collaboration between the two countries in  international organizations especially in UN.

The two discussed regional problems and spoke about Armenia’s and Uruguay’s relations with their neighbors. Minister Oskanian presented the latest developments in the Nagorno Karabakh settlement process.
