On November 8, 2007, Minister Oskanian received an official delegation headed by Petras Vaitiekūnas, Lithuania’s Foreign Minister.

Minister Oskanian assessed highly Armenia-Lithuania  relations and expressed Armenia’s interest in strengthening and developing political and economic  dialogue between the two countries and said that this visit can be a good spur for the development of such relations.

Lithuania’s Foreign Minister underscored that for Lithuania, relations with Armenia are among their foreign policy priorities.

At the request of the guest, Minister Oskanian also spoke about the latest developments in the Nagorno Karabakh settlement process and energy security problems in the region.

The meeting was followed by the signing of a memorandum between Armenia’s and Lithuania’s Foreign Ministries to cooperate in euro-integration processes.
