RA Foreign Minister Met His Finnish Counterpart
09 November, 2007On November 6 RA Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian, who is visiting Finland within the official delegation headed by President Robert Kocharyan, met with Finnish counterpart Ilkka Kanerva.
The parties discussed the process of OSCE reforms, the Armenian-Finnish political relations, underlining the necessity to continue the high-level contacts between the two countries.
Minister Oskanian laid special emphasis on the cooperation with Finland in the framework of the Armenia-EU Action Plan.
The parties expressed willingness to foster the bilateral trade and economic relations, stating that unlike the political dialogue, the volume of economic cooperation is not large. However, the commodity turnover between Armenia and Finland has been growing over the past years.
RA Foreign Minister presented the current stage of the negotiations on Nagorno Karabakh and the perspectives of resolution. Reference was made to Armenian-Turkish relations.
