Armenias Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Baibourtian Completed a Visit to Japan
06 November, 2007At the invitation of Japan’s Foreign Ministry, Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Baibourtian in the margins of the “21st century Cooperation Encouragement” program was in Japan from October 29 to November 4.
In Tokyo, Mr. Baibourtian met with Japan’s Vice- Minister for Foreign Affairs Koike Masakatsu. During the meeting ministers discussed Armenia-Japan political, economical, cultural bilateral cooperation issues.
Mr. Baibourtian also held meetings with Ueda Yoshihisa, Vice-president of Japan’s International Cooperation Agency, Sumio Edamura, Chairman of Armenia-Japan Association and with its members.
During the visit there were consultations between Mr. Baibourtian and Chikahito Harada, Director-general of European Affairs bureau. They discussed Armenia-Japan collaboration in the margins of the international organizations, issues concerning the retraining of Armenian specialists and the works of Japanese experts in Armenia, as well as the process of the grant programs which are inclined to Armenia by Japanese government.
Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Baibourtian addressed Japan’s International Relations Institute.
