On October 24, 2007, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Oskanian met with Ambassador Sergey Kapinos of the Russian Federation, newly appointed Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan.

Welcoming the guest, the Minister expressed confidence that the traditionally effective and useful collaboration with  the OSCE Office in Yerevan will be continued.

The two expressed appreciation for the continuation of the programs carried out by the office, particularly the programs involving the police and also the realization of some social and economical programs, as well as the small and medium enterprise development program in Syunik aimed at poverty reduction.
                                                                                                       
Ambassador Kapinos presented the results of the recent gathering of regional OSCE officers and passed on the Secretary General’s appreciation of the ongoing activities of the OSCE Office in Yerevan.  They also underscored that there is extensive agenda for collaboration and that not only will old programs continue, but new ones will be undertaken.
