MFA Spokesperson Vladimir Karapetian’s Meetings in Vilnius

A group of spokespersons from various ministries participated in a working visit to Lithuania. The group included Vladimir Karapetian, Head of the Foreign Ministry Press and Information Department.
Mr. Karapetian held meetings with Arturas Gailiunas, Head of Lithuania’s Foreign Ministry Eastern Europe and Central Asia Countries Department, and Daiva Rimasauskaite, Head of Press Center.
During the meetings, they discussed Armenia-Lithuania bilateral relations and prospects for cooperation and development.       
Outlining their intention to activate the collaboration with Armenia, Mr. Gailiunas said that Lithuania’s Foreign Minister Petras Vaitiekunas’ official visit to Armenia will take place in November. In that context, Lithuania will open an embassy in Armenia in October.
Presenting the history and experience of the cooperation between Scandinavian and Baltic countries, Lithuania’s Foreign Ministry representatives reconfirmed their desire to support  cooperation between Baltic and South Caucasus States in the 3+3 format, regarding euro-integration processes and exchanging experience of political and economic cooperation.
Armenia’s Foreign Ministry representative spoke about the Armenia-European Union cooperation process, Armenia’s position on the GUAM resolution in the United Nations General Assembly, and the Nagorno Karabakh settlement process.
