Ashot Kocharian, Armenia’s ambassador to India, met with Mrs. Sheila Diqshit, the Chief Minister of Delhi, on August 23, 2007. The two discussed the Chief Minister’s visit to Yerevan, expected in September. The ambassador noted that this visit has political importance. It is also symbolic since it coincides with the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and India. The two appreciated the growing cooperation between the two countries in several spheres.
