Today we are commemorating the victims of the anti-Armenian pogroms in Sumgait. In the closing days of February, 1988, the Armenian population of Sumgait was subjected to mass killings and atrocities, perpetrated with unspeakable cruelty.

I am delighted to be back in the Human Rights Council to represent a country that is now a full-fledged member of this august body.   

The interlocutors exchanged views on the multidimensional agenda of the Armenia-EU partnership and emphasized Eastern Partnership as an important platform for achieving the shared values and goals enshrined with the EU.
