In 2014 was awarded with the Gold Medal of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. 

In 2016 was awarded with the "Mkhitar Gosh" medal by the President of Artsakh.

Knowledge of foreign languages:

Russian, English, Spanish.

Marital Status:

Married with one child.  

 

On November 18, 2020 Ara Aivazian was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs by a decree of President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sargsyan.
