Registration and removal of the vehicle from the register

The vehicles owned by the Diplomatic Representations, Consular Posts and International Organizations with diplomatic status accredited to the Republic of Armenia, are registered in the name of representations and removed from the register by the Police RA on the basis of MFA’s application.

The vehicles owned by the diplomatic agents are registered, re-registered and removed from the register on the basis of MFA’s application, and the vehicles of the members of the staff of the Diplomatic Representations and Consular Posts - on the basis of MFA’s application in accordance with the principle of reciprocity.

In case of registration of the vehicle the Diplomatic Representation should apply to the MFA by Note Verbale submitting the following documents:

  1. Three copies of the Application for registration of the vehicle (filled out with block letters),
  2. Three copies of the Customs Declaration or the Contract Purchase and Sale,
  3. Three copies of the Identification Card issued by MFA (in case of the registration of the vehicle of the member of the staff of the representation).

In case of removing the vehicle from register the Diplomatic Representation should apply to the MFA by Note Verbale submitting the following documents:

  1. Three copies of the Application for removal of the vehicle from the register (filled out with block letters),
  2. Copy of the vehicle registration certificate,
  3. Three copies of the Contract Purchase and Sale or Deed of Gift, the Customs’ permission in case of exportation of the vehicle,
  4. Three copies of the Identification Card issued by MFA (in case of removing the vehicle from the register of the member of the staff of the representation).
