Question: According to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, “Joint military drills of Azerbaijan and Turkey have commenced in the Lachin region”. Please, comment in this regard.  

Answer: We consider the conduct of Turkish-Azerbaijani military drills in the borders of Armenia and Artsakh, as well as in vicinity of Lachin corridor as actions disrupting the steps towards  de-escalation, which are inconsistent with the spirit of the Statement of November 9, 2020, and undermine the efforts of establishing lasting peace, security and stability in the region.
