Comment by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia on the Resolution Adopted by the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic

22 May, 2020

We welcome the adoption by the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic of the resolution dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII, which also condemns the crimes against humanity committed during the two World Wars, including the Genocide perpetrated against the Armenians in the Ottoman Empire.

The unanimous decision of the Czech Senate is a major contribution to the restoration of historical justice and the respect to the memory of the victims. It also serves as an important message towards the prevention of new crimes against humanity.
