Response by the Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia to the question on facilitating the visa procedure

Question: As it became known, during the official visit of Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan to Georgia, an agreement was reached on the facilitation of visa procedures between Armenia and Georgia, particularly on the possibility of traveling with ID cards. When will the above mentioned agreement come into force? 

Answer: As we have informed, Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Georgia emphasized the importance of promoting people to people contacts, strengthening communication between societies and signed a Memorandum of Intent in this regard.

By signing the Memorandum of Intent the sides provide a basis to launch negotiations for signing a relevant bilateral international treaty. During the stages of signing and entry into force of the agreement, in accordance with the legislation, the due public awareness will be ensured.
