Taking into account the outbreak of the new type of coronavirus, from February 1 to March 31, 2020, the lift of visa requirement stipulated by the Agreement on the Mutual Abolition of Visa Requirements for Persons Holding Ordinary Passports between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the People's Republic of China will be temporarily suspended for persons holding ordinary passports of the People's Republic of China. This measure is of preventive healthcare character.

The Foreign Ministry of Armenia highly appreciates the efforts of the Government of the Republic of China in the fight against the new type of coronavirus outbreak, as well as the continuous support provided by the authorities of China to the citizens of Armenia currently residing in the territory of the PRC.

The Armenian side is confident that China will succeed in overcoming the fight against a new type of coronavirus and expresses its support to the Chinese side.
