We welcome the French Senate’s adoption of the provision on criminalization the denial of the Armenian Genocide in the bill, approved by the National Assembly back in summer.

 With this step France once again re-confirms its significant role in condemning genocides committed in the past and fighting against denialism, as well as preventing possible new crimes against humanity.
