Acting Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian met with the President of the Central American Parliament Fanny Carolina Salinas Fernandez

On April 27, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ara Aivazian received Fanny Carolina Salinas Fernandez, President of the Central American Parliament, and the delegation led by her. The meeting was attended by the Deputy of the Armenian National Assembly Sos Avetisyan.

Ara Aivazian highly appreciated Carolina Fernandez’s visit to Armenia for participating in the events dedicated to the commemoration of the 106th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and the support provided to the Armenian people, which is a clear expression of the position of the Central American Parliament on fundamental human rights and universal values.

Both sides emphasized the establishment of collaboration between the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and the Central American Parliament, which will contribute to the promotion of mutually beneficial cooperation between Armenia and the region.

The interlocutors touched upon a wide range of issues on regional security and stability. The sides emphasized the importance of the unequivocal and joint position of the international community on human rights violations as an effective tool for preventing future crimes against humanity.

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ara Aivazian highly appreciated the principled position of the Central American Parliament on the Azerbaijani aggression unleashed against Artsakh.
