On June 26-28, in the city of Medellin, Colombia, the delegation of Armenia headed by Grigor Hovhannisyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, participated in the regular Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States.

On the margins of the General Assembly, Grigor Hovhannisyan had a meeting with Luis Almagro, the Secretary-General of the Organization of American States. During the meeting the positive dynamics of cooperation with the Organization was underscored and the personal contribution of the Secretary General in strengthening ties between Armenia and the Organization was highlighted.

Grigor Hovhannisyan also had meetings with Carlos Holmes Trujillo García, Foreign Minister of Colombia; Teodoro Ribera Neumann, Foreign Minister of Chile; Néstor Popolizio Bardales, Foreign Minister of Peru and Sarah Flood Beaubrun, Foreign Minister of Saint Lucia, as well as Gustavo Zlauvinen, Deputy Foreign Minister of Argentine, Erika Mouynes, Deputy Foreign Minister of Panama and the Permanent Representative of Brazil in the Organization.

During the meetings the importance of strengthening friendly relations with Armenia and the prospects of developing bilateral relations in various spheres were discussed.

Grigor Hovhannisyan delivered remarks at the closing event of the General Assembly.
