General Information

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Swiss Confederation were established on 5 January 1992.

On 7 June 2019 Andranik Hovhannisyan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Switzerland (with residence in Geneva).


On 14 September 2018 Stefano Lazzarotto, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Armenia, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissyan.

  • Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Swiss Federal Council on the performance of remunerated activities by accompanying persons of members of diplomatic missions, consular posts and permanent missions to an international organization of one State officially accredited to the other or to an international organization established in the other state. Signed on September 4, 11, 2012.
  • Agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the Swiss Confederation on the facilitation of the issuance of visas. Signed on February 29, 2016.
