General information 

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela were established on October 30, 1993.

Since 2009, the embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Russian Federation is jointly accredited to the Republic of Armenia.

On March 17, 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Armenia Jesús Rafael Salazar Velásquez (residence in Moscow), presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan.

On December 4, 2023, the President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan signed a decree on appointing Armen Yeganian, the Ambassador of Armenia to Brazil, concurrently as the Ambassador of Armenia to Venezuela.

On July 14, 2005, the National Assembly of Venezuela adopted a resolution that recognizes the Armenian genocide.
