General information

 

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay were established on May 27, 1992.

In 1965, the Uruguayan parliament was the first to officially recognize the Armenian Genocide.

Since 1996, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Argentina is jointly accredited in Uruguay.

Since February 1997, Uruguay established Honorary Consulate in Armenia.

In August 2019 was opened the Consulate General of Uruguay in Yerevan.

The Embassy of Uruguay in Yerevan was established in November 2021.
