General Information

Diplomatic relations between Republic of Armenia and the Kyrgyz Republic were established in January 1993.

In 2021, Gulnara-Klara Samat has been appointed as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Armenia (residence in Moscow).

In 2023, Armen Ghevondyan, concurrently serving as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Kazakhstan, has been appointed as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Kyrgyz Republic (residence in Astana).

On June 19, 2020, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan in the format of a videoconference were held.

In August 2021 an inventory of the contractual legal field was carried out between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries.

On December 2, 2021, a cooperation plan between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2022-2024 was signed.

Legal Framework

More than 30 documents have been signed between Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.

Trade and Economic Cooperation

On November 4, 2022, the first Session of the Armenian-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation took place in Yerevan.
