Japan
General information
The Republic of Armenia attaches great importance to the further strengthening of the friendly and mutually beneficial ties with Japan, as well as to the establishment of new collaborative relations.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and Japan were established on September 7, 1992.
Since July 2010 the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia operates in Tokyo.
Since January 2015 the Embassy of Japan operates in Yerevan.
On April 11, 2025 Monika Simonyan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Japan.
On January 11, 2024 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Armenia Aoki Yutaka presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia.
