General Information

Diplomatic relations between Armenia and Iceland were established on May 15, 1997.

On October 11, 2019 Alexander Arzumanyan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Iceland (residence in Stockholm). On February 4, 2020 Alexander Arzumanyan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Iceland presented his credentials to the President of Iceland, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson.

On March 25, 2021 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iceland to the Republic of Armenia Árni Þór Sigurðsson (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian.

On February 16, 2021 Levon Hayrapetyan was appointed Honorary Consul of Iceland in the Republic of Armenia.
