General Information
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Iraq were established on 12 February 2000.
The Embassy of Armenia in Iraq was opened in 2000 (reopened in 2010)
The Embassy of Iraq in Armenia was opened in 2001 (reopened in 2012)
The Consulate General of Armenia in Erbil was opened in 2021
Arshak Manukyan was appointed as the Consul General of Armenia in Erbil on 11 November 2020

Legal framework
Armenia and Iraq have signed about ten international treaties, memorandums of cooperation, and other documents in the fields of economy, reciprocal protection of investments, defense, and science.
Intergovernmental Committee
The Armenian-Iraqi intergovernmental joint commission on economic cooperation has been operating since 2012. Up to date four sessions of the commission have been held.
