General information

The diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Belarus were established on June 12, 1993.

The embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Minsk was opened in 1993.

The embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Yerevan was opened in 2001.

In December 2020 Alexander Konyuk was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Armenia.

In September 2021 Razmik Khumaryan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Belarus.

On November 24, 2023, Minister of Foreign of Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergey Aleynik had a phone conversation.

On October 8, 2021, Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Belarus were held in Minsk, at the level of deputy foreign ministers.

Legal framework

Relations between Armenia and Belarus are regulated by 32 interstates and intergovernmental, as well as 21 interdepartmental agreements, including the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Armenia and Belarus, signed on May 26, 2001.

In total, about 90 documents were signed between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Belarus.
