Azerbaijan Azerbaijan

The “Regulation on Joint Activity of the Commission on Delimitation and Border Security of the State Border between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Commission on Delimitation of the State Border between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia” was signed on August 30, 2024 and entered into force on November 1, 2024.

On August 8, 2025, in Washington D.C., Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov initialed the Agreement on Establishment of Peace and Inter-State Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, which, by mutual agreement, was published on August 11.

Diplomatic relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan have not been established. The establishment of diplomatic relations is stipulated in Article 5 of the Agreement on Establishment of Peace and Inter-state Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
