General information

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Austria were established on 24 January 1992.

On 19 March, 2019, Armen Papikyan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Austria handed over his credentials to the Federal President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen.

On 26 April 2023 Thomas Mühlmann, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Armenia (with residence in Tbilisi), presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan.

In 2021 Klaus Kapper was appointed Head of the Office of the Austrian Development Agency in Armenia.

In June 2011 Aram Marutyan was appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Austria in Armenia.
