Kazakhstan
General information
The diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Kazakhstan were established on August 27, 1992.
Since June 1993, the embassy of the Republic of Armenia has been operating in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Since March 2007, the embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been operating in the Republic of Armenia.
In February 2021, Bolat Imanbayev has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Armenia.
In April 2022, Armen Ghevondyan has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On October 14, 2024 Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia N.Pashinyan and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.Tokayev had a phone conversation.
On March 18, 2024 in the framework of working visit of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of RK to Armenia action plan for cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2024-2025 was signed.
On April 12-13, 2024 discussions between the legal services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RА and the RК on issues of inventory and improvement of the legal framework took place․
On October 7, 2022․ political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the RА and the RК were held.
Legal framework
About 5 dozen documents have been signed between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Kazakhstan, including “The Treaty on Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Kazakhstan”, the 25th anniversary of which was celebrated on September 2, 2024.
Cultural sphere
On April 18–20, 2025, Days of Kazakh Culture were held in Armenia.
On October 15-16, 2024, Days of Armenian Culture were held in Kazakhstan.
Trade and economic relations
On May 29-30, 2025, within the framework of the Astana International Forum, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia G. Papoyan met with the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Shakkaliyev, and a number of issues related to the trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Kazakhstan were discussed.
On April 2, 2024 the 10th session of the Armenian-Kazakh intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation was held through video conference.
