General information

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Korea were established on 21 February 1992.

Since March 2014 the Ambassador of RA in ROK is Mr. Poghosyan /residence in Tokyo/.

Since March 2018 the Ambassador of ROK in RA is Mr. Woo Yoon-keun /residence in Moscow/.

Since February 2014 Honorary Consul of Armenia in Seoul is Mr. Kim Do Kyun. 

Since July 2004 the Honorary Consul of the ROK in RA is Mr. Armen Abrahamyan.

Signed legal instruments

  • Protocol օn the Establishment of Diplomatic relations between RA and ROK, signed in Moscow on 21st February 1992.
  • Agreement on Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of RA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of ROK, signed in Yerevan on 6th November 2005.
  • Agreement on the Mutual Waiver of Visa Requirements for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports between the Government of RA and the Government of ROK, signed in Seoul on 23rd February, 2012.
  • Agreement on Cooperation in the fields of Culture, Sports and Education between the Government of RA and the Government of ROK, signed in Seoul on 4th July, 2014.
  • Agreement for the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Korea, signed in Yerevan on 19th October, 2018.
