United Kingdom
General Information
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the United Kingdom were established on 20 January 1992.
On 16 July 2021, Varuzhan Nersesyan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Since 17 September 2025, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia has been Alexandra Pamela Cole.
On 13 November 2023, a Strategic Dialogue was established between Armenia and the United Kingdom.
As a result of the second session of the Strategic Dialogue, held in Yerevan in August 2025, an agreement was reached to elevate Armenia–UK bilateral relations to the level of a Strategic Partnership.
