I am glad to welcome here my Iraqi counterpart, Foreign Minister and my good friend Mr. Hoshiyar Zebari with whom I had many occasions to meet in the framework of international organizations. Armenia became a member of the UN Alliance of Civilizations

On February 27 Vienna hosted the un alliance of civilizations 5th forum goal of which was to consolidate the international community against extremism through intercultural and inter-religious dialogue and cooperation. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon opened the forum. High-ranking delegations from 136 countries and international organizations attended the forum.

The official visit of the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs to the Republic of Korea

Minister Nalbandian expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea for their support provided to Armenia’s development since the independence. In this regard, the Korean Prime Minister noted that the Korean side is committed to continue to provide technical assistance to Armenia through the Korean International Cooperation Government Agency.

The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs participated in the Ministerial Conference of the Paris Pact held in Vienna

On February 16, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian attending the Third Ministerial Conference of the Paris Pact Partners dedicated to the fight against opiates trafficking from Afghanistan. The United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and the high-ranking delegations of around five dozen countries attended the conference and delivered speeches.
