On May 16, the Republic of Armenia assumed its first Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe since Armenia’s accession to the Council of Europe in January 2001. It was an important task, opportunity, challenge and responsibility for the country.

Armenia transferred the Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe to Austria.

On November 14 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Council of Europe Edward Nalbandian chaired the Session of the Council of Ministers of the CoE.
