On March 2, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Dirk Wiese, the Coordinator for Intersocietal Cooperation with Russia, Central Asia and the Eastern Partnership Countries, the member of Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany. 

The interlocutors commended the high level dialogue of the Armenian-German relations which is reflected not only through regular contacts between the leaders of two countries and active collaboration between the Foreign Ministries and legislative bodies but also through multifaceted cooperation in trade-economic, science, educational, cultural and in other spheres.  

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Dirk Wiese exchanged views on the Armenia-EU agenda issues and highlighted the role of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement in promoting  bilateral and multilateral cooperation with the EU and EU member-countries. In the context of the Eastern Partnership, both sides also highlighted the steps aimed at improving citizens’ mobility and people to people contacts.

In the course of the meeting, a number of urgent regional and international issues were also touched upon.
