On December 7, Armen Melkonian, Ambassador of Armenia to Egypt, met with Khaled El-Anany, Minister of Antiquities of Egypt.
The interlocutors touched upon the existing cooperation between Armenia and Egypt in the field of archaeology and outlined the importance to undertake practical steps towards expanding and deepening that cooperation.
Within this context, the sides exchanged views on the possibilities of intensifying the experience exchange programs and mutual visits. They agreed to foster cooperation between the national museums of Armenia and Egypt.
Minister El-Anany highly appreciated the participation of the Armenian experts in the excavations at the temple of Amenhotep III in Luxor.
