General information

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Ireland were established on 28 June, 1996.

On 8 February 2011 John Rowan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland to the Republic of Armenia (residence in Sofia) presented his credentials to the President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan.

In June 2010 Jonathan Stark was appointed Honorary Consul of Ireland in Armenia.

In April 2008 Ohan Erkaynharsian was appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Ireland.

On 22 May 2014 Armen Sargsyan was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Ireland (residence in London).
